Life is full of both.
Especially for folks like me who see new, shiny objects everywhere! I'm thinking that my prior blog attempts were far too narrow in scope for me to keep them going. My gardening blog went south when the season came into full swing and I was constantly planting, weeding, staking, and watering. And then OH! A new shiny object! I filled my veggie beds with berry plants and went back to school.
Yeah I definitely admire the bloggers who are consistent and reliable. There are so many wonderful blogs out there! And gardens/gardeners. Music and musicians. I have so many differnt interests which has it advantages and obvious disadvantages. Perhaps we can place bets on how long this blog will actually last!!?? Extra points if you can guess my next temporary passion!
In an attempt to not circumscribe myself too much, I am not narrowing my topics. Thus Mamma Melange. Being a mother, I hear the word "Mamma" approximately 830,456 times a day. That was a given in my title since no shiny object can take me away from this lifetime role.
Merriam Webster defines a mélange as a mixture of often inconguous elements, originating from the French word mesler meaning "to mix." Being a Francophile, I love all things French, including the language. And the definition certainly suits me.
